The American automobile manufacturer CROSLEY was founded in 1939 by Powel Crosley.
The firm specialized in popular, smaller automobiles.
Between the years 1939-1942 the firm manufactured approximately 5700 two-cylinder, air intake engines. Production continued after the Second World War in 1946.
Postwar vehicles had 4-cylinder OHC engines. Up to the year 1952, when CROSLEY ceased production,
it produced another 76,000 vehicles.
